Users may now have to shell out more money as Apple is set to add more intelligence to its eligible iPhones with the iOS 18.2 software update. The update includes ChatGPT-powered Siri.
Priced at $20 or Rs 1,950 a month, users will be able to unlock the full potential of Apple Intelligence. The premium subscription includes features like Writing Tools and Image Playground. However, users won’t be able to enjoy these features in the free version as without it Siri will have very limited capabilities.
The update also enables users to subscribe to ChatGPT Plus from the setting app, 9to5Mac reported.
Apple users can subscribe to ChatGPT Plus from Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri > ChatGPT > Upgrade to ChatGPT Plus.
Though ChatGPT-infused Siri can be used without a subscription, the tool will limit access to the latest GPT models. The free version does not include functionalities like image generation, document analysis, and web browsing. User’s with a ChatGPT Plus subscription can witness an enhanced experience.
Notably, Apple intelligence is coming to India by April 2024. This feature is limited to iPhones, iPads, and Macs. By changing device language from English (India) to English (US), users can experience some of the Apple Intelligence capabilities right now.
